Maria's horses in the paddock

I went to get some more bird food from the farm shop near Bisley. There has been a big run on suet pellets in particular in the last two weeks. Unfortunately they had nearly run out so I could only buy a small bag to tide me over.

As the shop was closing at lunchtime, I asked Ashley and his daughter Maria if I could go round to the back of the farm top take pictures. They happily agreed, as they always do.such a lovely family business.

I looked for swallows that nest in the barn but they were out, as were most other birds. It was rather dank with rain imminent so I wandered about the fields and hedgerows. Behind where the Christmas trees grow I saw Maria's horses in the distance as I looked south towards where we live, in the far distance valleys.
