Emerging from behind the central city

Out before dawn this morning to mainly run (with some walking) to Three Lamps, turning around at the corner with College Hill. Comfortably back along Ponsonby Road to the corner with Anglesea Street, which offers the widest view of the tall buildings in the city , and at this time of the year the sun rises there. I hung around for the few minutes until the sun did start to show, and then continued on.

Called in at the supermarket to get some coffee beans for the morning grind only to find that there was almost every other coffee option available but for beans of the particular blend I like. So this morning the first coffee of the day was made with ground coffee. Went out later, and was able to get the beans from another store.

A quiet day helping S when that was needed. And then a late afternoon visit from Young L and daughter C. He is growing taller by the week. It won't be long before he joins his older brother in being taller than me.

Tomorrow morning is the Winter Solstice here, and I hope to be somewhere to take a photo to mark it.
