The Weatherman Says........

The weather man said today that there are prevailing winds that flow off of the Sahra Desert that are headed for Florida over the next couple of weeks.  At this particular time, the winds are picking up a lot of the Sahara dust.  The prevailing winds will carry the dust across the Atlantic, the same winds that square riggers used to use, to get from Europe to the North American continent.   The Gulf current sweeps in and carries the water currents north., hence the trade routes.
The prevailing Easterly wind flow, carrying that dust, is predicted to create some really stunning sunset, light shows for the next week or.
I am going to have to check it out for the next few days.
Todays blip was the sunset from 2 different vantage points, hence the 2 different colors.   I wonder if it's the first of the Sahara dust entering our atmosphere?  Interesting to watch for...........
