FLOWER AND TOAD FRIDAY

I am feeling very much better today - yesterday was just a little “blip” so I decided at 10 a.m. this morning that I needed to DO something rather than sitting around so I have cleaned all the windows, both inside and out, of our 20 ft x 10 ft conservatory and also two lots of patio doors, so I am, what could be termed, “cream crackered”!  

The conservatory is still a mess with all the furniture pulled into the middle, but that can wait until tomorrow to be sorted out - we’re not expecting visitors any time soon, so what does it matter?

To give myself a little break, apart from coffee breaks, I went out into the garden to take photographs of a few of our flowers.  The sweet peas are looking and smelling good and Mr. HCB is especially proud of his pink calla lilies, so I decided to put them into a collage.  

Then, just as I was finishing off the windows, Mr. HCB called me into the garden to see our first little toad - mind you, I had to be quick, because it was jumping around quite a lot.  I decided that as I might not see it again, I should at least let it have its 15 minutes of fame on Blip - so here is "Tad the Toad" - with apologies to a an old school friend, who might just read this - no offence meant!  

We are hoping this little toad has lots of brothers and sisters and that together they will keep the slugs away from our plants - although there isn’t much evidence of siblings at the moment and neither are there many slugs.
