Gently down the stream

Waiting for the pubs to open

This morning I walked passed the Willow Tree pub.  It has a pretty garden, just a small triangle of land between two of the River Itchen's numerous branches.  I always peer through the hedge because the heron has been known to fish there.

However, as you can see, today the space was being occupied by this pigeon.  It was sitting on one of the tables.  Until it noticed me, it was looking so comfortable I thought it might be waiting for the pubs to open tomorrow.

And you know that Boris has said that they can open at 6am?  But he tells us not to go mad.  I would say the same to him, though I fear it maybe too late.

Have a happy Friday night  xx
