Leaving

My ex-husband's hoist and empty chair. He won't be using either again, as he is now bed-bound and rarely awake. I've thought carefully about what to post, or not post, during this period in which Graham is dying at home, surrounded by friends and family (obviously many of the latter are doing socially distant visits, outside his window). So far, it is a calm and peaceful process, carefully managed by Graham's partner, our son and daughter and a team of carers. This image captures absence, but also peace, for me.
