Survival of the fittest

Happiness today was a virtual hug with granddaughter Phoebe on her 16th birthday and in the afternoon the first post lockdown coffee at Söderberg Pavilion. It was balmy enough to sit outside without freezing, but my goodness they have fairly raised their price for the privilege.

How I have missed the ability, even at a high price, to sit in company and watch the world go by. It has never been the same over the last 14 weeks to sip alone at the kitchen table.

These little violas I’ve blipped have come up again this year in a disused plant pot defying a complete lack of attention. Little survivors.
