Mono Monday: Together

Thanks to 60plus for hosting Mono Monday with the theme 'together'. Here are the lions together guarding Pollok House. The house is currently closed but the park and gardens are open.

It was an unaccustomed early start this morning as we set off for Glasgow to look after our wee grandson. Had Covid not intervened Monday would have been my childminding day for him. My plan had always been to get the train to Glasgow then the local service to be with the family in time for work. Well that's not going to happen for the foreseeable so an early morning drive it was. The roads were busy but not as busy as you'd expect in ordinary times.

Despite the rain we set off for Pollok Park and had a good walk there looking at the ducks and enjoying a scramble about in the woodland. Flora had a race around with some other dogs. We're back at the house now with a sleepy toddler. The sun is coming out too.

We'll have lunch with the family (my son and his partner are both working from home. So tricky for them) then see what the afternoon brings. It's nice to feel that we can help a bit. We have to physically distance from the adults and it's hard to remember that sometimes. Luckily we don't have to be distanced from the livewire little boy. Just as well. He's a climber!
