Arabs to Mars

I had to record this monumental thing that is happening. The USA, China and UAE(!) are sending missions to Mars! It was supposed to happen on the 14th July but has been postponed to next week. I'm sorry to say it, but why is anyone wasting spending money on sending probes to Mars when there is so much need in the world at the moment is just baffling. You can find out more here (project) and here (launch date) if you're interested.

It's been an at-home day. We got all the cleaning out of the way so it doesn't have to be done tomorrow morning. It actually took us up to lunchtime! G's Fun Club email went out by 6 pm. Earlier than it's been the last few weeks, but not early enough.

We had two Zoom meetings later - one with our friend in Amman and the other - T@3 which we should have been at physically, in person, today! ;(  I know we've made the right decision to stay put this summer, but it's still hard not to be out of the heat. 43degC which feels like 51; that's tough. Having said that, we have got three air-conditioners here, which makes it nicer to be in than when there's a heatwave in the UK and the Lodge gets like a little oven.
