Recovering Nicely........

Abby and Molly were very sleepy for most of the day.  Around 3 they were hungry for a small meal and wanted a short walk   When they came back they slept some more.   I let them be and went browsing among my Bonsai.

Tonights Blip are some very small trees that I trimmed and repotted on May 31  and June 1.  The trees have recovered nicely.  They are photographed with full greenery.    They are thriving in the new soil and sending out lots of new leaves.   If I were to look in the pots, I would see lots of new roots supporting the growth on top.
The tree to the right (thumbnail) is a Barbados Cherry.  It was really well trimmed when potted.  Now the tree has lots and lots of leaves making sugars and reaching out to the sun.
The tree on the left is a Boxwood Evergreen.  You can see all the lite green new growth.  Some of it has been trimmed back, but the tree is thriving wonderfully.  The tree has lifted a bit, in the pot.The center is higher than the nabari going out to the pot.  If we were to look in the pot, it would be full of new, white roots and root hairs.   This tree will be ready for some wiring in another month.  On the left, at the trunk, the bottom branch and the the lon one next above are reaching up too much to the sun.  They need to come down and out to give the illusion of age, as is seen on the other tree.  It was already wired once to give the old look and allow the branch to fatten up.
All in all everything is good.....    the girls are feeling better and the trees are thriving!
