Quite a different day

All humping and moving. We were up at Doreen’s pretty much all day sorting out two bedrooms which had recently been decorated and had new carpets but were tips.

New curtains were hung, not without difficulty as we had to cobble up the join between two rails which had broken. That was just the start of lots of irritating stuff.

A piece fell off the net curtain rail, bounced on the windowsill out though the open window into the garden below. It ended up in a lavender bush. We couldn’t get the right number of curtain hooks to rail hooks and when we did get the curtains up missed some hooks out. The final straw was when trying to draw the curtains the rail slid on its supports!

We retired defeated for lunch before a more successful afternoon humping furniture between rooms and up and down stairs, hoovering, sorting and breaking up cardboard boxes.

Susan stayed on after me while I went to get dinner ready in time for the weekly uke jam.

Not much chance at all for a blip which is why today’s offering is a collection of ornaments and objects from on top of a chest of drawers. No walk either although we did participate in the last Joe Wicks session for a while. Impressive stats: over 80 million views, 78 workouts, 2271 years of exercise and more than £580k raised.

We did more than 50 of those. Rather than going back to the gym we’re going to continue by starting all 78 over again.
