Colourful Cosmos

I love the shapes and patterns in this Cosmos so messed around with the colours to make an abstract version.  Its normally purple and yellow. 

A lovely day we all, well excluding our son who is working from home, went for a walk along the beach.  It was the kind of weather ie warm and calm that was quite inviting to swim and several people were out on the beach or in the water. Unfortunately our grandson was asleep in the pram but he had a good sleep.  

Its been fairly sunny in the morning but clouded over in the afternoon with a little drizzle while I was on the allotment picking courgettes, mange tout, beans and blackcurrants.  I was visited by my daughter who wanted to show our grandson the plants on the plot, he was most impressed by the white butterflies which fortunately couldn't settle on my netted brassicas.

This afternoon our grandson demonstrated that he was capable of sitting upright for a few minutes, he was most chuffed with himself.  Its interesting that even that in the 10 days since we last saw him he has developed further, being more dexterous with his hands, rolling over and holding himself up on his tummy and his attempts at crawling, often going backwards.  No wonder he was chuffed at sitting unaided its a lot easier than crawling.
