Enjoying our holiday...

We have had quite a long day of driving after a night of little sleep. We drove to Thrapston last night - about 2 hours from home, then parked up in a lay by. At 6.30 we woke (I dont think I actually slept, but it was mainly due to my very horrible headache) had a small carton of juice each and a hot cross bun for breakfast, then got on the road. The route was all dual carriageway and motorway and Mollie followed us. She did really well, only ever having driven as far as Cambridge before. We had three stops in the end - one more than planned but eventually arrived our campsite just outside Chudleigh Knighton which is really nice at 3pm. We were able to pitch our tents and caravan all together. Mollie and Josh have a tent, Henry is in his own tent, and we are in the caravan. It is lovely. I know we are going to have a fab 2 weeks, even if it rains!

Cooked pizzas for tea with garlic bread, had lots of crisps, grapes and wine to follow and now the youngsters have taken a walk to the pub, which is 15 minutes we are told. It is showering occasionally but we all have rain coats.

Made a shopping list, and checked out the places to visit and have made a list. Lots to see in Exeter by the looks of things, and lots of other places. Should be a good couple of weeks...

....now to my knitting!
