Tiny Tuesday ....

... beginnings.

I was out with the macro lens this morning when I came upon this tiny sunflower in the beginning of it's life.  The flower (including the greens) is about the size of an American penny.  Which makes the tiny insides the size of a pea.  I've photographed sunflowers in most of their stages but this is a first for me.

After switching back to the telephoto lens I put some peanuts on the deck railing in the hopes of getting some squirrel photos.  But the Blue Jay in my extra had other plans for the peanuts.  This photo has only been cropped slightly ... no other adjustments made.

Happy Tuesday everyone!
