Wound up in Wexford

Wind casualties

Our allium plants only flowered very briefly this year, and then many of the seed heads succumbed to the wind at the end of June.  I brought some of them in and created the pot at the back.  Then today, W went down the garden, and brought in this gladiolus top - snapped off by the wind over the last 24hrs.

We did some exercising this morning, and something else has finally been progressed that I'm not ready to talk about yet, but other than that, I had another rather flat day.   We look forward to a visit from ArcLight and Mr A next week, and we're going to try to arrange a few days away towards the end of August - but finding somewhere is a little challenging - it is school holidays.  And to some extent nowhere really satisfies, as the one place I really want to go (to see the girls and the grandchildren) is just not feasible yet.
