Wound up in Wexford

Wollemi wafting

The weather was quite good during the day, but we both had stuff we wanted to do indoors, so W spent time in his workshop, and I did some crafting in the studio.  The current project is not ready for blipping, so at the end of the day, as it got increasingly dark, and there was thunder rumbling around the sky, I had a quick wander with the camera in the garden.

The Wollemi pine has put on a goodly amount of new growth in the last month or so, which is rather delicate, and was dancing around in the wind.

Shortly after I had returned indoors, the heavens opened, and over the course of the next hour or so, we had about 9mm of rain and hail - and then that was it!  No floods here.  That bit of rain, especially coming down so hard it mostly bounced up again, won't do much to water the garden, just flatten some of the more delicate plants.
