Wide angle - distorted

When I was walking Xena this morning in the woods a very large deer walked across the path in front of us - Xena got a bit of a surprise I think and instinctively chased after it - how did she know it wasn't a large dog but rather something to chase after? Anyway, the deer was too far away and she chased it up the path for a little bit but then turned around and came straight back.

Today's theme for the Wide Wednesday challenge is distortion, so I tried taking some photos of Xena with the fisheye lens but it was so funny as I had to get really close to her, so close that she would just lick the lens! Later Tommy came home and while he was giving her a hug I took this image, it's very distorted from the fisheye lens. Tommy has now packed and gone to Cornwall to join Inca and her family who are on holiday there.

Very disturbing to read about all the Coronavirus spikes in Europe and Hong Kong. I am not surprised it is thought to be due to young people socialising, they certainly are and they are not always careful. Our own boys are seeing friends again and trying to do it outside but that is not always the case. In a way I feel we need to enjoy being outdoors and seeing friends now because as winter comes we won't be able to do much of that, and as this is a long game we need some breaks halfway through!

I picked my first courgettes from the garden today, first time I have grown them.
