Insecure

The day felt productive with a few things more advanced by the end of it. I had to rustle up a summary of the political insecurity in coastal regions of northern Mozambique as we’re starting to get questions both internally and from donors about how it affects us. In reality it doesn’t directly affect our project further inland, although of course it’s important to track.

After switching off the laptop I went out to nestle in the long grass on Midsummer Common, being careful to avoid cow pats and thistles. The sky looked fun, like a glacier breaking up. I caught up on daily events and am flabbergasted at the extent of the explosion in Beirut. Hoping for swift rescues and aid for people affected. 2020 sucks.
