Dahlia

For the second day running we had to set the alarm again  BB had rugby training.  His first for months.  We all went down, as parents had been encouraged to go down watch and of course to catch up with everyone.  It was lovely to see everyone and all felt kind of normal., even though there was no game and no contact training.  TT went off to help at church and I  then went to pick up a library book – a kind of click and collect service - before doing some shopping.  It was then home to get organised  and have some lunch, before heading off to friends’ for a birthday barbeque.
We weren’t looking forward to the bypass or the bridge, as we had been really held up in both places a couple of Saturday’ ago, but it was fine.  We then made good time to our friends who live near Dundee.
There were three families meeting up to celebrate a 21st birthday.  It was so nice to see everyone and to catch up.  Not totally normal, but almost. We had a lovely time with lots of food and drink.  BB was delighted to note that he is now taller than D  - our host!
All too soon, it was time to leave and come back down the road.  TT was driving, which is good as I was really tired.
I was blipless today, but luckily had snapped this dahlia I our garden before we left.
