AOG Day 9

“Good Evening, welcome back to our prime time coverage. We have a great lineup of live events coming up but first I want to send you over to my Colleague at Olympia Stadium where they’re getting ready for an historic Sumo Wrestling competition.” (brief pause) “Thank you, Marv. Sumo Wrestling is Japan’s National Sport, and together, tonight, we will witness history as this is the first Sumo Event ever in the AOG! Most of the challengers are Japanese Beetles. There is no weight requirement but the female athletes do have a slight advantage as they’re physically larger than their male counterparts. The competitors will be wearing metallic wing armor and safety helmets. The match will take place on an elevated green leaf mat. If the athletes leave the mat, they will be disqualified. The object is to pin your opponent on their back for at least two seconds. There are a few other ways to earn points and I’ll review those with you when the first match gets underway. Our first competitor, from Tokyo, has taken the mat. His opponent must also take position on the mat by the time the Spider Judge raises his flag or else risk a point deduction.
