Spanish Steps in Rome

Our farewell to Rome, after five wonderful days. We were heading to the subway, to go to the railroad station, to go to the airport--so I was happy to get this blip of the Spanish Steps just before we plunged into the very long walk underground to the Spagna Metro station. Our EasyJet flight was delayed (de-icing in Paris, ironically) and we waited for nearly an hour after getting in line. But the rest was fine and we're happily back in our Paris apartment. Try it large!

The church at the top of the steps is Trinità dei Monti--it is currently closed and seems to be under extensive interior renovation.

Many thanks for all the friendly comments on yesterday's 3-year blip--very much appreciated. I'll try to respond by tomorrow--it's getting late now.

The year-ago blip is my two-year blip, of the Canal St. Martin in Paris.
