The children were content to have another day at home today.

In truth, I was quite relieved as they seemed as tired as I was! We did however make a trip into town on the promise of buying cakes for our afternoon snack!

There was a short walk at the end of the day too, when I realised that the wee ones are some kind of ornithological magnets as we saw the swans and their quickly growing cygnets, a cormorant, two herons and the kingfisher!

Pleased to find an alternative view of the river looking upstream.
