Abstract Thursday ....

.... landscape?

Well, I failed in the landscape abstract theme ..... but I did abstract both Cheddar and Kiera!  We removed the cone of shame from Kiera as she is healing up rather nicely from her spaying op.  And we let her into the sunroom for a little while so that she could have some freedom. She will spend tonight back in the large crate that she's been in since her surgery and then we will let her free in the downstairs.  She and Cheddar spent some time together and other than wrestling around a little they seem to get along.  Fingers crossed ....

I know this collage makes little sense as the photos don't really go together but I had to include photos of some of our visitors.  The center photo is, of course, a ruby-throated hummingbird ... the juvenile male that keeps coming around.  The top right butterfly photo shows an unusual visitor for us ... a Giant Swallowtail!  I had to Google it in order to identify ... that's how rare these are to our yard.  The bottom right is an Eastern tiger swallowtail .... they're not that unusual to see here.

For supper tonight we grabbed a sandwich at Subway and went up to Jacobsburg State Park for a picnic.  The weather was perfect for it.

Backblipped: August 22, 2020 ... more to come.
