A little adventure

With the arrival of lockdown in March, we had to postpone a trip to have Sunday lunch with D and I out in West Lothian. Today, we made good on that omission, and drove out there with C and J in the car. Masks to the fore, and open windows, despite the inclement weather.

We had a great lunch, only leaving around 5.30pm to drive back to Edinburgh. I was the designated driver, but the rest of them got through a fair bit of red wine, and lots of tasty treats. D and I's house is 'unusual' to say the least, and it's changed a fair bit since we saw it last which was quite some time ago. C and J had never seen it before, so enjoyed wandering around, and visiting various bits including D's studio, where a certain painting was produced. We also had a quick nosey in the barn for the farm next door, just as we were leaving. The wool sheared from the sheep earlier in the summer has not been taken to market yet, as the prices were apparently too low.

A lovely afternoon.
