Norbury Hall Park: Hornet-mimic Hoverfly

More (and less) wasp-like in large.

Took macro photos with the duckules in the morning, but then Im and I went for an amble in Norbury Hall Park where we saw cabbage whites and this impressive hornet-mimic hoverfly. This is the smaller of our two hornet-mimic hoverflies, but still impressive (certainly not "Inane", as the binomial name perhaps implies).

Others here (or right from Dew-beaded feather, or duckules right from Kappa's speculum)
