Lockdown Crafts
At the WI Coffee in the Car Park this morning we took along craft projects we had completed during this long strange months when we have been home more than usual. The Blip is Penny showing off some water colours. I took along a giant crocheted basket for my spare wool
Week 26 of Covid 19 restrictions in England and Week 7 of the new normal - ie widespread use of face coverings
New Covid 19 rules have been announced to remind people that we should not be meeting in groups of more than 6. From Monday it will be against the law. The new law has been introduced because we are having a second wave and people have forgotten what the rules are. Positive cases are increasing exponentially, caused probably by people returning from holidays, schools going back and parents going back to work. It will get worse when the Universities start. 2659 cases today although just 8 deaths. It is hoped that deaths will stay low because the new cases are mainly amongst the under 29s. Once all the University students have caught it and kept it to themselves they can get on with their lives.
Book Club this afternoon - we had 7 in my garden very spread out, yes 1 more than 6 and next month this will be illegal. We don't really want to go back to Zoom, I wonder what the rules will be in a months time.
