My favourite panel

... from the International Garden Photographer of the Year, currently on display in the walled garden at Cannon Hall.  I love these - see if you can spot the unusual twist.

I met up with Julie and Sue from Penistone CC and we spent a good while in the walled garden looking at the panels on display - some truly amazing photographs and well worth a visit.  The photographs are on outdoor weather resistant panels, which seem like such a great idea in spaces like this.  The exhibition moves on to a new site towards the end of October.  There is also due to be an exhibition of the `Beautiful Barnsley’ photos, which also ran under the IGPOTY umbrella but these are to be displayed indoors at Cannon Hall.  I got two images accepted, one of which was highly commended, but the hall didn’t seem to be open today.  

It was lovely to see Sue and Julie and to catch up, we haven’t met in person since March.  We hope to have another get together next week, venue to be arranged.  Many thanks Julie for my lunch - it was really great to see you both.  Girls Aloud Zoom meetings will start again soon.

p.s. The walled garden has had a complete make-over and is looking fantastic.
