In Ashby

We all bundled off to Ashby de la Zouch on this wonderfully sunny, even hot, day. I had my feet done while Len took Basil for a walk in the park. We adjourned to the Rose Cottage Tea Rooms for a drink and cake which is where I saw this lady walking up and down the jitty with her  2-tier trolley. Very enterprising of her to use this rather than splash money out on a walker. It does look rather institutional.

Then to Leicester to look in on George's house and to feed Ben and Jerry. Ben was in the window when we arrived. How on earth had he managed to get in the house? We looked around for an open window but of course, he'd got in because he'd managed to push the kitchen door open. He'd left a rather unpleasant calling card on George and Kat's bed which Len removed.

We secured the kitchen door with a piece of string before we left.

Then home. Tea on the patio in comfy chairs. The patio was mostly in shade showing how quickly the sun is descending south. In one week's time it will be the Autumnal Equinox and nights will get progressively longer.
