What butterflies remain are making the most of the few sources of nectar in the meadow; Devil's Bit Scabious being generally the last flowering bloom.

I saw half a dozen Speckled Wood, a couple of Small White and there were quite a few Silver-Y moths zipping about.

A Southern Hawker was the only sign of dragonfly life.
