The Nights are Fair Drawing In

Oh my mother would not have been happy to have me walking the streets so late, especially after an afternoon and evening on the tiles with the two other Merry Widows.
She would also not have been happy to know we bent the rules of 2 households meeting, even knowing that we lived on our own and there were only 3 of us in total. We won’t do it again......promise, but we had to eat the meal of mince and potatoes left over from our Northumbrian idyll.

We need all the human contact we can get as we prepare for the likelihood of further restrictions. It’s all looking rather grim as the virus spreads more or less out of control. It’s all incredibly depressing and to cheer ourselves up we tried to plan some sort of break before Christmas, but I fear it is all pie in the sky stuff and some form of lockdown will escalate.

Still ordinary life continues, so baking went down to Maggie’s and some making of energy bars from the kitchen of Munroist was undertaken.

It’s been a full on day, but a good one.
