New Window in Betty's

This was a moment of drama in the process of putting a window into Betty's, where there was no window before.
Börje has cut away the boards on the inside, removing the ancient fibreboard with three layers of different wallpaper, revealing a layer of hardboard with really ancient wallpaper. That was cut away too and we could see the logs from the inside. Then he removed the boards and insulation from the outside, revealing the logs that make up the wall.  Out came the chainsaw and cut through the logs, and then the sledge hammer came into action. The first log came out! The sledge hammer is just visible inside the house.
I won't go into all the details but there was some fine-tuning with a chainsaw and an axe (extra) and by 5:30 there was a window in place.(extra)
There are 16 pictures of the process in one of my flickr albums.
