Summer in a corner...

...of the garden.  As I look around at the forest and countryside it is obvious autumn is in process. The leaves are turning colour and many are falling from the trees. But if I look at smaller areas of the garden I find autumn in places, while summer still holds sway in other corners.
In today’s blip the lingon berries are an indication of autumn, but the hare bells are still in full bloom. All the leaves remain green just here. It’s a big contrast with the countryside in the mountains, where autumn was far more advanced. Here near the coast we still haven’t had a frost, which is a bit of a surprise considering we are approaching the end of September, whereas in the mountains we had one morning where it was -6°C. One hard frost like that can really set autumn going everywhere!
