Truly Floral

The Ivy on the Square has gone floral and best of all it appears to be open again for ladies who coffee. After all, there is not much else going for us octogenarians with the recent restrictions on our socialising inside houses.

This afternoon I met a friend to sit outside Soderberg wearing 2 heavy jumpers and a thick jacket and still feeling as though hypothermia was going to carry me off rather than Covid. My coffee cooled in about 5 minutes flat and my teeth were wont to chatter after 30 minutes. The thought of a cold winter to come may make the purveyors of outside spaces invest in patio heaters at the very least.

I have spent a lot of the rest of the day being online sorting out yet again the saga of my energy services. I think there is light at the end of the tunnel if you get the pun.

I also tried to get my smart TV to be smart, but it turns out that it is possibly I who is not smart enough or possibly patient enough to achieve what I wanted on its internet capabilities. In the end, I gave up trying to get the video of the virtual culture crawl organised by Maggie’s for tonight on my not so smart TV. Thank goodness for the computer.
