Late Afternoon Sun

G and I finally got out for a walk this afternoon after days of bad weather and even the sun came out for us to do the Bayfield Bird Walk. Clockwise you can see G on one of the huge new seats, the pig farm, highland cattle (with ducks on the flooded field too), and a bridge. This morning I drove over to Carl Bird at North Walsham to drop off another car full of stones / rubble - so many trees came down around here over the weekend, more than I've seen before and only just pulled off the road.

Day 197 / Full Day 189 of Lockdown / Day 15 of Rule of Six (for my record only)
UK deaths up 13 to 42,001 (revised basis), with new daily cases up by 4.044 (beware lower weekend no's) and with 1,727 patients in hospital. From midnight on Wed at the request of local councils, household mixing in any setting will be illegal in Northumberland, Newcastle, Tyneside, Gateshead, Sunderland and County Durham. A farm owner near Leeds is facing a £10k fine after between 100 and 300 people attended a wedding in a marquee on his land. US vaccine trials are reported to have excluded people over 65, despite this age group accounting for 80% of deaths. The WHO said that testing will be dramatically expanded following a deal struck between manufacturers Abbott and SD Biosensor via the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation to produce  120m 15-30 min tests costing £3.80 each for 133 low and middle income countries. A BBC investigation has found that criminals are setting up fake new businesses to fraudulently apply for Covid emergency loans - if true it would be a scandal that banks aren't checking that the company existed before Mar 2020.
