Thank You Day

Today was Miss E's Thank You Presentation at school. They've been practising and rehearsing it for weeks but it was all top secret. Every time she caught herself singing the song or telling me something about it she clamped her hand over her mouth, pretended to zip it shut and then looked all mischievous and pleased with having a secret!
We were very excited to finally see the show.
It was so sweet.
They thanked the teachers, the cook, the dinner ladies, the secretaries and the Headmistress and gave them all thank you hearts that they'd made. Then they thanked Mummies, Daddies, Nans and Grandads, brothers and sister, friends. They sang "Thank you very much" to the tune of the Roses advert, they handed out clay hearts that they'd made for us, they did a little play about all helping each other and working together.
There is nothing cuter than a class of four and five year olds earnestly and enthusiastically putting on a show!
There was lots of their work on display too which was great to see. This bunting was one of Miss E's thank you's: My mummy hlps me get redy", the other was a picture of herself which she'd drawn which had a printed label: My Mummy washes my purple cardigan and all my clothes. Thank you Mummy!
It was a lovely afternoon after a lovely morning with Miss L in Milton Keynes. We got her passport photo sorted, she had fun on a jungle animal roundabout and we had a quick cup of tea in John Lewis. She really is a delight to be around!
After school we went to Mrs C's for playing, chatting and dinner which was nice. Then I dashed to pilates which was painful.
No Valentine's Day surprises for me today. Somehow Mr K got it into his head that our planned day out tomorrow meant that he had to do nothing today. Idiot!
