Hanging on

Didnt get to sleep until after 3.20 this morning. thankfully didnt wake up until after 9, so surviving the day hasn't been too bad!

Weather gradually deteriorated as the day has progressed......luckily this foxglove has enjoyed summer, given me lots of pleasure and is still trying to hold on despite being battered and blown around lately! Hard to believe its still flowering!

We decided to drive over to Horwich to get a couple of things from Smyths for the granddaughters "x" presents, just in case todays announcements did lock us down further. Hub also got a couple of winter jumpers...both really nice. I was looking for a small packet of antibac wipes for my handbag, ended up with a pack bigger than Id have liked, but better to have them.

We had a coffee & sandwich for lunch, popped into M&S, didnt see a thing we liked, so dreary, came straight out again, by which time the weather had really closed in.

Back home by 3, in good time to listen to what the PM had to say.....no suprises, people in the NW will really need to knuckle down and adhere to the rules and recommendations if we stand a chance of knocking this on the head before the winter months & Christmas. As much as I am not BJ fan, if everyone was pulling together, he wouldn't have to impose these restrictions. We now wont be able to see youngest son & DiL for at least the next month :-(

Be safe......hands face space, mock it at your peril :-/
