The new bird in town...

...or is it?

This time last year I had two adult Butcher Birds visiting my garden. The adults have black, white and grey feathers.

Overnight, they were replaced by two young Butcher Birds, and very tame they were too! The young have brown shades in their feathers.

Again, overnight, the young pair had disappeared, and in their place I now have a pair of (not so tame) adults again!

I don't know a whole lot about the habits of Butcher Birds and there doesn't seem to be too much information on the internet about them either, so I guess the comings and goings of the local Butcher Birds will have to remain a mystery.

I wonder if the tame pair will ever return....
