Cirencester Park

I am back in Alfie the Campervan for a couple of nights, camping again in Cirencester which is a very easy hour and a quarter from home - close enough for a mini-break.

I like it here - it’s a beautiful campsite, and this is what is on the other side of the gate - Cirencester Park, the home of the Earl of Bathurst. There are 3000 acres of parkland to explore for exercise, or as a route into town, all or most open to the public between 8-5. I didn’t go into town today but I did go on a short walk in the parkland to stretch my legs before dinner.

Besides relaxing for a couple of days, this trip is also about trying out my new Remoska oven in the Campervan. I’ve been trying it out almost every day at home, but I really bought it to use when camping. It works well in the Campervan - I cooked a small pizza for lunch and did some chicken and vegetables for dinner, followed by cooking a small (ready made) sticky toffee pudding for dessert. All was a great success! It’s a game-changer for me! I can have hot meals without relying only on 2 gas burners.
