Capital adventures

What's my name?

It is unseasonably warm, and this morning, sunny. I cycled to the pool, with lights on (having discovered yesterday I hadn't fitted the batteries) and had a good if challenging swim, Mr V V Slow was there.

The rest of the day was inside, despite the weather. The morning on College stuff (though still to read the large report that came out yesterday), followed by some CWA work and then 3 hours as part of a Virtual audience for 2 recordings of GQT. The length was caused by tech failures, of course. By the time we finished their was only time for a quick meal before Choir.

And there was a panic. Couldn't find the cat anywhere. I knew she had to be in the house. Looked everywhere again and again and eventually looked in the cubbyhole under the stairs. There she was, in the dark. She's so small she managed to squeeze in. She now has a collar with a bell on. But she did sit on my lap for lots of cuddles, for the first time.

In other news my friend Y has had a successful hip replacement. She had to go private though otherwise it would have been 2022. More collateral damage from our disastrous handling of Covid-19. And we'll be at the Garden Centre, not Prestonfield, for our lunchtime meet up on Monday.

F2F - 5 (all at the pool)
Phone calls - 1
Virtual meetings - 3
