Roger at work in the kitchen!

After church in the morning, it was back to Janet's to prepare Sunday dinner for us and Roger's parents. Janet enrolled Roger's help in the kitchen to assist her in making dessert - Gache melee, a traditional Guernsey apple dessert. Needless to say, Janet also picked out the apron for him to wear, from their local theater group's recent production of Calendar Girls! I decided it definitely warranted a picture! The rain started around lunch time and continued through the rest of the day. Most of them went out for a walk after lunch despite the rain, but I decided to stay in the dry and keep Roger's Mum company - they all came back looking like drowned rats!
