Common Enchantments

Feels like fall...

The temperature got up in the 40s today so it felt really warm in the sunshine. We did a long walk in the snow looking for elk.  They were hiding.  After sitting in the truck and "scouting" for three days the walk felt good but wow...it has worn me out.   The hillside was steep and the snow was slippery in places.    But a good sleep will happen tonight!

One of the other hunters here did kill an elk today and it was huge.  They are leaving to go back to Tennessee tomorrow so we may be going over to that property to hunt.  Jerry did not want to hunt there when those guys were here.   New scenery!

We did a drive to the little town of Baggs as we needed gas for the truck and our hostess needed a few things from the store.  The store is so tiny..three aisles and limited amount of things but we found everything on her list.

The eagle was sitting on the electric pole and we were able to stop and get a photo!   He just sat there while I took my shots.   The antelope was lying just past the fence very near the eagle.    The other shots are scenes along the road and where we walked.

Thanks for all the stars, comments and hearts on yesterdays collage.  I really enjoy sharing what I see out here in the wilderness of Colorado.
