Log Burning Fire Fuel

An ash tree was felled near our village rec last week (ash die-back was the problem). J happened to be walking past past and, to cut a long story short, was offered the whole stack of tree bits. The tree surgeons were quite happy to off-load the whole lot on to our front lawn! These have now been cut down into more manageable chunks and stacked ready to go on the log burning stove we haven't yet actually bought.

We have shared the tree with our neighbour so he and J were sharing the work. Either side of our boundary fence is stacked with logs which will now sit there for at least a year drying out ready for next winter.
