Remembrance Sunday

For so many years now we have not missed the Remembrance Sunday service at school, where firstly Luke and then Tommy played the Last Post on their trumpet. It felt strange today that there could not be large services to remember this special day. We were in the car at 11am and did not realise the time, and wondered why all the radio stations had gone off, I thought there was something wrong with the radio, only to realise why when the trumpets started playing the Reveille on the radio again the 2 minute silence.

We went to another common for our walk today and it was very busy, so many families out walking and cyclists riding their bikes. I suppose there is nothing else to do during our lockdown and at least they are getting out which is good. I took this photo of Xena out on our walk today.

After our walk I made lunch, a roast chicken lunch with some delicious vegetables - I love roasted butternut.  Gavin practiced some chipping in the garden, he is missing the driving range being closed during lockdown.

So while the world welcomes Biden as the new president of the USA and everyone is so relieved that Trump is no more, we in the UK are starting to think what this will mean for the UK and USA relations, as Biden was not supportive of Brexit and has publicly criticised Boris.
