Mono Monday: Heavy Weather

Thanks to Majoayee for hosting this week's Mono Monday challenge on the subject of mass in the landscape and leading lines.

This is a shot of Stantonbury Hill Fort, near Marksbury.  It had just been raining, and as you can see, was about to pour some more.  I only just managed to get this shot taken before the deluge began.

The road that I had travelled up to reach this point is largely a single lane, and as it was wet I had been proceeding along it with reasonably caution approaching a blind bend in front of which is a passing space. I was very grateful that I had been going slowly as a convoy of 2 sporty hatches came racing along towards me from around a blind bend at one stage.  The first one just manage to stop and miss me.  He then started to reverse toward the passing space only for his mate in the second car to come screaming to a halt just behind him.  How we laughed.  Fortunately no damage was done and chastened they made good their scape.
