Common Enchantments

Sunrise to Sunset

A long 12 hour day today trying to get to a certain point so we won't have so many miles to drive the next two days.

We got up before dark and got on the road at Nebraska and drove to Mt. Vernon, Illinois.    740 miles!

This was the last of the sunset color as we crossed the Mississippi River at St. Louis, Missouri.

In the extras, is an abstract sunrise shot at North Platte, Nebraska just as we drove down the ramp to get on Interstate 70.

Tomorrow we will drive across Illinois, Indiana and into Kentucky.  We will definitely be stopping way earlier that we did today.   Then we can make a few hours drive on Sunday to my son's house and still have time to drive the rest of the way home by Sunday night.

I don't like to drive at night in unfamiliar areas and I don't trust the hubby with his night vision either!

Have a good weekend blippers!     Thanks for all the stars and comments.  Much appreciated!   I hope after Sunday I can sit down and really look at journals!
