Surviving roses

The bunch of roses I bought over a week ago, nay even nearly a fortnight, is doing pretty well. Gently curling at the edges, making it ideal for macro in some morning sunshine.

An active day walking to work, working at work, and walking home again. No great breakthroughs, of course, but still it was solid.

In the evening more Simon Reeve on iplayer (on Cornwall - with added beavers for fun) and then a programme about Kes (Looking for Kes), the book behind it, the author and various other bits that was expiring having been on iplayer for a year. How had we not previously seen it on our many sweeps through the documentaries on iplayer? Obviously the BBC's algorithm hasn't been doing a good job. We really enjoyed it, and it made us both want to read the book which, inexplicably and just like the documentary, has passed both of us by.
