49 today

Did anyone notice the Google Doodle today?? They've honoured the UAE on the occasion of their 49th birthday! I said to Nara to have the day off but he insisted on sticking with his routine, so we had to leave the flat.

We first headed to Festival City. I had some bulbs to return and we enjoyed a coffee at Costa. We then went on the search for an alternative BBQ spot. I'm not sure we've found one yet, but coming back home, we drove past the Airport, on to Maktoum Street and ended up here on the Creek. G took this picture.

The abras look like they all got brand new awnings. They looked spotless! Nice to see them all flying the flag as well. Think it was around 3 pm that we finally got home and stayed put. We did manage to catch the special ceremony held in Abu Dhabi telling the story of the formation of the country. Next year, it's the big one! :))
