Xylariaceae

I have been setting up some more spread sheets as well as doing some other odd indoor jobs. No work in the garden, it has been raining heavily since last night and it is very dull, requiring me to have the lights on at midday..

Today’s picture is of a fungus, which I blipped on 23 October when I thought it was a hoof fungus. It is a Xylariaceae. It is growing on a rose stump which is what I thought was the fungus. As you can see it has grown a lot in six weeks.

The temperature today was five degrees Celsius at GMT noon.
