Spoonbill

Crickey its been hot and windy all day - so very tiring.
I attacked the garden this morning, until I just couldn't do any more.  I was so hot, the wind horrid and my eyes were hurting.
After lunch, I had to have a wee lie down, which isn't something I ever do.  Rested my eyes for a while.
I had arranged to pick up a friend, then met Clare at Temuka to go out to the Milford Lagoon to find the spoonbills.  They were there but way over the other side, feeding furiously at low tide. Funny things.  There was a beautiful grey heron much closer, and the leggy pied stilts, but because it was the spoonbills I really went to photograph that is what I will blip.
