Lupins

Roadie Day 2

A cruisy start, a cooked breakfast of bacon, tomatoes, eggs, potato pom poms and toast.  It was lovely to sit around without any urgency to go get on the road.
We headed home, all feeling photographed out really.  A couple of stops where we didn't even bother to get out of the car.
The main stop was Lake Alexandrina which is adjacent to Lake Tekapo (many English folk will know where this place is) to see how the nesting grebes are progressing.  Amazing to see so many nests, some have even hatched with their littlies riding around on their parents backs.  We did some photography there, but since I'm very tired, and it was a lupin day, I've grabbed a few closeup lupins photos from the shores of Lake Tekapo and put together as a collage.
Another one of the Church of the Good Shepherd from the other side of the outlet as an extra.
Two wonderful and happy days have come to an end.  And an early night beckons.
